Sponsorship terms

Placement

Settled USD contributions accumulate permanently for one owned public profile or verified public project. Higher lifetime net funding ranks higher. Sponsorship never changes evidence rank, trust, credentials, badges, or receipts.

The exact contribution and resulting lifetime net amount are shown before Checkout. Stripe's processor-enforced USD minimum applies. Placement activates only after Burnbook receives Stripe's signed settlement webhook.

Every placement is marked Sponsored. Burnbook does not guarantee traffic, clicks, sales, or a specific audience size.

Refunds, disputes, and takedowns

Refunds subtract from placement value. Open disputes suspend the disputed contribution; lost disputes remove it. A zero net amount removes the card.

Contact tech@burnbook.dev for duplicate charges, technical failure, legal requests, or abuse reports. Burnbook may suspend or remove a placement to comply with law or protect users.

Taxes and ownership

Checkout calculates taxes only when Stripe Automatic Tax is enabled for the production account. Sponsors must own the public profile or verified project they promote and remain responsible for their destination and claims.
